The preparation stage
With your left foot, step down on the emergency brake and lock it in place. The right foot should be on the right pedal. Insert the key into the ignition and twist it to on. Shift the automatic gear shifter to the lowest position. Make sure to tilt the steering column to its lowest position as well.
Loosen the clips that hold it in place
Take out the bezel that's around the dashboard to be able to manually remove the clips. Set aside the dash panel. Shift the automobile back in gear, turn off the key, and take your foot from the brake pedal.
Unbolt and unplug
Using the1⁄4-inch ratchet and socket, unbolt the old A/C control unit and out of the dashboard. After, unplug the wiring harness out of the control unit and put it aside.
Out with the old, in with the new
Take the wiring harness and plug it in to the new A/C control unit. Bolt it in the dashboard by using the 1⁄4-inch ratchet and socket. With your right foot, step on the brake pedal and insert the key back into the ignition and twist it to on. Again, shift the automatic gear shifter into the lowest position, as well as the steering column. Mount back the dashboard bezel and shift the car back into gear. Remove the key from the ignition, your foot from the brake and your job is done!
