Part fits great, but I am going to need a Throttle Position Sensor, and both electrical connector for this part and the TPS. Great price, fast shipping. Thank you.

Purchased, installed in mins, reset battery cables and jeep idle was fixed. Few months later had same issue. Sent an email and Carparts.com sent a replacement no questions asked. So that’s a 4 star. Problems happen. But they fixed it quick.

Question: Hi so I bought one of these and tried to get it onto my 2000 Xj Sport and the plug wouldn’t get far enough onto the sensor to latch. How do I fix this?Owen B. / Sep 09, 2021 / 1999 Dodge DakotaIdle Control Valve
Hi Owen, Thank you for sharing this review about your order for the Idle Control Valve. We apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience. Based on our records, the Idle Control Valve will fit a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Classic 6 Cyl 4.0L. Can you please confirm if this is your vehicle application? We have received a response on your inquiry and he mentioned that "Try rotating it, the idle control sensor it does needs to be oriented in the same direction of the original or OEM part was. The same wayyou removed it, is the same way the new sensor must go in." Please let us know if this would work so you can use the Idle Control Valve, but if otherwise, we may process the return for this part. Thank you.

Try rotating it, the idle control sensor it does needs to be oriented in the same direction of the original or OEM part was. The same wayyou removed it, is the same way the new sensor must go in. Also check to make sure you do not damage the new O-ring, if you are having trouble seated the new part, and new O-ring, look to see if the old O-ring is not stuck or still baked on the inside of the well, use a bright led light or flashlight or a small mirror, to look inside the well and take a small flat tip screwdriver, without damaging the mating surface, and scape out the old O-ring if it is still baked inside of the well. If all works out, it should go right into the well without any issues, DO NOT DAMAGE the new O-ring, use a very tiny amount of WD40, or lubricant, to lube the new O-ring. Hope this helps you out.

This part is an aftermarket one, I installed in my Grand Cherokee laredo 1998 and the computer rejected it, so I went for an OEM one on a junkyard and pulled out. Cleaned it and installed.

Question: Hi Idle ?Ted H. / Dec 11, 2021 / 1999 Dodge DakotaIdle Control Valve
Hi Ted, I'm glad to assist you. A defective idle control valve would cause the engine to stall or could cause a high rpm idle as well. A defective ECM is also a possibility. In modern vehicles, engine idle speed is most often controlled by the idle air control (IAC) motor. When your car's throttle is malfunctioning, this can cause your car to stall or idle high. Often this is a result of dirt buildup in the air intake. Still, please have your vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to get good and guaranteed repair results. If confirmed that this is what you need. Grab our sale price offer and click the link below to order today. I hope this helps. Hello! It's possible, but there may be other issues causing your idle to fluctuate, such as a vacuum leak
