It is mechanically similar to its kissing cousin, the Mitsubishi Eclipse, but has a style all its own. Room for at least 2 adults in the rear seat (3 in a pinch). Performance was quite good, the V6 engine was smooth and refined. Handling was crisp without compromising the ride. This car is an excellent value with well equipped models stickering in the mid twenties. Futuristic instrument panel is marred by an annoying glare around the speedometer area. The primary difference between the LX and LXi models is the engine. The LX has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine that is only available with an Automatic, while the LXi sports the smooth 3.0 liter, 200 HP V6 and is available with either a 5-speed stick or the AutoStick automatic.
