It’s no secret the Hyundai Santa Fe<\/a> is getting a styling update for the 2021 model year. But it’s only now that the automaker officially introduced the mid-size SUV to the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sporting a bolder face, a more aggressive front grille, and a cabin that’s similar to its larger Palisade sibling, the new Santa Fe hints at a better-performing model, at least in terms of appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wider grille can now showcase different patterns that vary according to the trim level, while the new lighting signature shows the T-shaped LED daytime running lights. At the dorsal part of the vehicle, a thin LED lighting strip connecting the taillights is visible, alongside the new skid plate and reflector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In photos shared by Hyundai, the Santa Fe comes in a monochromatic color scheme, although there hasn’t been any confirmation if this will also be available in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from a cabin that mirrors the Palisade’s, the dashboard also shows some semblance to the larger vehicle. Also joining the list of new features are soft-touch materials, a gearshift that comes with a push-button layout, a 10.3-inch touchscreen, as well as a Terrain Response dial that enables tuning for the all-wheel-drive system in some models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyundai did not reveal anything about the powertrain for the U.S.-bound model, but it is expected to be equipped with the same 2.4-liter inline-four and turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engines. In the future, a hybrid version of the SUV is also a possibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyundai<\/a> is anticipated to reveal more U.S.-specific information on the Santa Fe in the next few months, in time for its arrival at the end of the year.
