The 2021 Nissan Frontier<\/a> was recently spotted plying the roads, sporting a light camouflage that shows just enough of its design upgrade, the most comprehensive change the model has gotten after 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the coming model year, the pickup is getting head-turning features that have long been overdue, including a 3.8-liter V6 that makes up to 310 horsepower when paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It’s considered the most powerful factory engine among all models competing in the midsize truck segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pickup won’t be arriving soon, but a few teasers from Nissan lends perspective on what the upcoming Frontier will look like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on what has been revealed so far, the model will sport changes in the front nose, which no longer appears to be sloping downward. It will also feature two strips of LED lighting that form a signature look for the truck, as well as hood features with several muscular lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When viewed from the side, it shows some semblance with the Toyota Tacoma, especially with its blocky structure and tough-looking lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nissan<\/a> earlier said the Frontier will provide astounding levels of comfort and refinement. A performance-oriented model is also not entirely off the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The redesigned Nissan Frontier was originally scheduled for a launch later this year, with deliveries set for February 2021. Given the effects of the pandemic on automobile production, however, it remains to be seen if the original timeline will be followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, the new Frontier is confirmed as a 2021 model.
