Amid extremely high demand for the First Edition of the 2021 Ford Bronco<\/a>, the automaker announced it is doubling its initial target supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the official release of the new Bronco, Ford said it will only be producing 3,500 units of the SUV’s First Edition variant. When the model was formally introduced and the website for Bronco reservations went up on July 13, the First Edition sold out after just a few hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it appears that there is a strong clamor for the Blue Oval to increase the First Edition’s initial production despite the availability of other Bronco trim levels. So much that Ford said it is now planning to build a total of 7,000 First Edition units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an email sent by Ford to customers who were successful in placing a reservation for the Bronco First Edition, it announced plans to double the production run. The email was also published on the Bronco6G forum, where interested buyers and loyal customers tune in for the latest updates on Ford’s models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking at the exclusive website for reservations and configurations, however, the First Edition is still marked as sold out. This makes it unclear how the company decided to allocate the additional 3,500 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A possible explanation would be that Ford accepted more than 3,500 reservations for the model when the website went live. The automaker did not return a request for more information regarding the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same email, customers were also reminded of their option to change to another Bronco trim once order placements begin in December. Likewise, customers can cancel their reservations as they wish and have their $100 returned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2021 Ford Bronco First Edition is equipped with technology and other features found on the Lux and Sasquatch packages of the Badlands trim. It also sports special badges unique to the variant that will retail at $60,800.
