The high-performing Sonata N-Line is making its way to the Hyundai<\/a> lineup later this year, packed with an engine that delivers up to 290 horsepower. But before that, the automaker is treating customers to new features for other trims of the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sonata’s SEL Plus trim, in particular, is getting a new set of 19-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero all-season tires as standard equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyundai said the tires (size 245-40R-17) are designed to reduce road noise inside the vehicle’s cabin. They are only offered on the SEL Plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The range-topping Limited trim, on the other hand, is getting a six-way-adjustable power passenger seat as standard equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other new features for the Sonata include a standard safe exit warning that makes use of the blind-spot monitoring cameras to detect oncoming traffic, especially when the vehicle is parallel parked. This new system displays a warning on the gauge cluster as well as an audible alert to warn passengers on both the front and backseat of oncoming traffic, preventing accidents when opening a door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2021 Hyundai Sonata<\/a> is set to arrive at dealership lots in the United States this August. Based on the pricing schedule released by the automaker, the SEL trim starts at under $27,000, followed by the SEL Plus at $29,000, and the Limited model for over $34,000.
