As the Land Rover<\/a> Defender gets closer to its release date, more and more leaked photos and details of the brand’s redesigned off-roader are surfacing online. This time, however, significant information has been revealed about the latest model from the British carmaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like its predecessor, the new Land Rover Defender will be offered in three sizes – the 90, 110, and 130. While all three variants will not be available by the time of the launch, it’s enough for interested consumers to look forward to the arrival of the model, especially in global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First to be released in the market is the Defender 90, which will arrive in March 2020. It measures 171 inches long, 787 inches wide, and 75.8 inches tall, with a 101.8-inch wheelbase. The Defender 110, meanwhile, is expected to be released in October, measuring 187.3 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, and 75.4 inches high. It comes with a wheelbase measuring 119 inches. The biggest size, which is the Defender 130, is due to arrive earlier than its mid-size variant in August 2020. It will be 200.7 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, and 75.4 inches high, also with a 119-inch wheelbase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to internal documents that were leaked, the Defender 90 is referred to as the “halo image icon” of the Defender lineup, and will target “the young, affluent fun-seekers.” There will be two options for its seating capacity – either a five- or six-seater. The same seat configurations are also available for the Defender 110, with the addition of a seven-seater option. The “premium explorer” or the Defender 130, on the other hand, will only be available in an eight-seater capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two smaller Defenders will also be offered with three gasoline engines and three diesel engines<\/a> paired to an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. P300 will be the standard gasoline engine, followed by the P400 and P400e plug-in hybrid, while the diesels are called the D200, D240, and D300. However, only the D300 version is expected to be available in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
