Just when other automakers are exiting the minivan segment one by one, Honda<\/a> shows it is sticking around with the announcement of a fresh look for its Odyssey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the 2021 model year, the Japanese carmaker is making its minivan more competitive to go head to head with new models such as the Chrysler Pacifica and the redesigned Toyota Sienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda also released the official price list for the vehicle, starting with the base LX model at $32,910. Following it is the Odyssey EX trim, which now comes with restyled seats and tri-color floor mats and a starting price of $36,310.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the EX-L picks up a price tag of $39,580. It features contrast stitching on the seats as well as a power lumbar support on the front passenger seat. Higher trim levels Touring and Elite get a starting price of $43,620 and $48,940, respectively. Both variants come with new doors, door handles, and black trim on the dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other features that give the minivan an new look are LED headlights that resemble those of the Honda Civic and Accord, a black and chrome grille, and new lower fascia. The EX models also have LED fog lights, while the Touring and Elite trims boast of 19-inch wheels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the interior, customers can enjoy Magic Slide rear seats on the EX and other higher trim levels. These seats can fold completely flat to allow more space for cargo in the back. Honda is also adding a new Rear Seat Reminder feature as well as an optional child-viewing system. These new techs can also be added Odyssey minivans from the 2018 to 2020 model years through over-the-air updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda keeps the 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 on the Odyssey, which pairs with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission. However, compared to the Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota Sienna that are both offered with an all-wheel-drive, the Odyssey is only available with a front-wheel-drive setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
