Amid the highly talked arrival of the new Ram TRX, General Motors (GM) is also gearing up for the return of another well-loved nameplate—the Hummer<\/a> EV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model was previously announced to be part of the GMC lineup, but GM is treating it more independently than other vehicles. But while not much is known about the specific details on the upcoming electric pickup, a recent trademark application may have shared a glimpse of how its badge is going to look like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post shared on the Hummer Chat forum, it was revealed that the automaker filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the new Hummer’s logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GMC has not confirmed nor denied the claims. But by the looks of it, the logo does appear to be meant for the Hummer. Its design is reminiscent of the old Hummer badges where a numeral overlaps with the letter “H.” This particular design was notable in the H1, H2. and H3 models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the modernized version, though, the “Hummer” nameplate is spelled out instead of just the “H.” And where a numeral was originally positioned, “EV” is placed. If the logo does make its way to the upcoming Hummer EV pickup, it wouldn’t be surprising if it is also used on the Hummer EV SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The electric pickup is scheduled to debut in fall this year, with production set to begin in 2021. The truck is expected to deliver up to 1,000 horsepower and will be GMC’s representative in the electric pickup segment. It will go head-to-head with other models such as the Tesla Cybertruck and the Rivian R1T.
