In time for the model’s arrival at U.S. dealerships this month, Mazda<\/a> shared some features customers can look forward to in the new CX-9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the new trim level, the midsize crossover is also getting a few more updates that will make it stand out in the highly competitive segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For one, the Carbon Edition trim is joining the Mazda CX-9 lineup for the 2021 model year. It will be built on the Touring trim that comes with the premium package. It will include 20-inch aluminum wheels, a Polymetal Gray exterior paint job, as well as gloss-black exterior trim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trim will also feature leather seats, with the front ones being ventilated, as well as a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, a 7.0-inch gauge display, and a 10.3-inch infotainment screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the new features, however, is a slight price increase. For the CX-9<\/a>‘s base model, customers will have to pay $70 more than the current version of the vehicle. The Sport trim gets a price tag of $35,060, while the Grand Touring variant is now at $43,040 with a price bump of about $400. An all-wheel-drive layout is still offered for an extra $1,900 for all levels, save for the Signature trim which will only be offered in AWD.
