The Ram<\/a> pickup is continuously making its mark in the competitive truck segment as it approaches sales figures of industry leader Ford F-150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ford F-150 has a solid hold of the number one position as the best-selling truck in the United States. But as shown in recent sales figures, the model is no longer enjoying a comfortable lead over the next best-selling truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dodge Ram, which recently overtook the Chevrolet Silverado as the second best-selling truck in America, is reportedly closing in on sales figures of the F-150. The brand is also reportedly experiencing an increase in sales compared to the year-over-year sales decline of Ford and General Motors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to industry experts, one reason behind Ram’s success could be that brand loyalty is no longer common nowadays. Fuel economy and tow ratings for pickup trucks are also not considered huge deciding factors for consumers. Instead, people are now looking at niche features such as the 12-inch infotainment display of the Ram and the MultiPro tailgate of the GMC Sierra. The brand is also offering incentives for sales of its trucks as well as huge discounts on the price of its Classic generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
