Amid all the details being released about the returning Hummer nameplate, there is one thing that continues to pique the interest of the public, perhaps because of the lack of information surrounding it: the vehicle’s “Crab Mode.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But in a teaser recently released by the automaker on Twitter, it showed the badge of the much-awaited Hummer electric pickup surrounded by what appears to be a mechanical crab. It’s a bit unusual, but it also touches on a previous announcement shared by GMC regarding the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the badge does not necessarily provide a lot of information, it’s likely that it is GMC’s answer to the Tank Turn Mode of Rivian’s R1T and R1S models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tank Turn mode allows four electric motors the ability to simultaneously send power in various directions. This then allows the driver to pivot the truck even on its own axis exactly like how tanks work. Moreover, it makes maneuvering on tight off-road trails easier even when there are trees and boulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
