Honda<\/a> reintroduced the new Passport in 2019 in the form of a two-row SUV, positioned between the compact CR-V and the three-row Pilot. Considering t it hasn’t been long since the model’s arrival, the automaker is not expected to come up with significant changes for the vehicle’s 2021 version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much to the delight (and surprise) of Passport fans , though, Honda is adding new standard features to the midsize crossover for the next model year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most notable among these changes is the brand’s Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration now becoming available on all models, including the base Sport trim. In the past couple of years, the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features were only available on the Touring trim and above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But with the addition of a new standard feature also comes a slight price increase on the 2021 Passport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entry-level Sport 2WD now has a starting price of $32,590, which is about $600 more than its predecessor. Equipped with an all-wheel-drive, the price goes up to $34,590. The EX-L 2WD variant, meanwhile, retails for $36,610 and comes with an eight-inch touchscreen and a power sunroof. An AWD version of this trim is available for $38,610.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the higher trim levels, the Touring variant with three extra speakers, heated front and rear seats, satellite navigation, ambient lighting, and LED headlights is offered at $39,480 for the 2WD and $41,480 for the AWD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is followed by the Elite trim that features Honda’s Intelligent Variable Torque Management All-Wheel-Drive System, perforated leather seats, as well as heated side mirrors and steering wheel for a retail price of $43,980, just about $200 more than the 2020 version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2021 Passport keeps the 3.5-liter V6 that makes 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also included as a standard feature on the SUV is the Honda Sensing suite, which includes a number of safety techs such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, road departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking, and forward-collision warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
