But more than styling updates, the automaker is also giving the midsize SUV new features, two additional gas-powered engine options, and a hybrid model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyundai recently shared some of the details ahead of the vehicle&rsquo;s arrival in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First on the list of upgrades is the new base engine&mdash;a 2.5-liter inline-four that delivers up to 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and will be available with a standard front-wheel-drive and optional all-wheel-drive. According to Hyundai, fuel efficiency will improve to 26 mpg combined, a 1 mpg increase from the previous one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An optional turbo 2.5-liter inline-four is also set to arrive, offering 277 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. It&rsquo;s an increase of 42 hp and 51 lb-ft from the 2.0T and is also poised to up fuel economy by 25 mpg. The combined output goes up to 225 hp, with the combined EPA estimate at the mid-30 mpg range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also new for 2021 is the Calligraphy trim, which will now be the highest trim level. It will have a turbo engine and an all-wheel-drive as standard and will feature leather upholstery, 20-inch wheels, a special grille, plus a few other trim-exclusive accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other trim levels, meanwhile, will get the same updated look highlighted by a reshaped grille, different headlights and taillights, new wheel designs, and improved interior materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gas-powered variants of the 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carparts.com\/hyundai\/santa-fe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Hyundai Santa Fe\">Hyundai Santa Fe<\/a> are expected to arrive before the end of the year, while the hybrid is scheduled to arrive early next year.
