It’s been years since there was a Hummer<\/a> model in the US automotive market. Now that General Motors has finally revived the nameplate as a new GMC sub-brand, it’s turning heads not only for its overall styling and expected performance but also its price tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its first model year as an electric vehicle brand, Hummer will release its flagship truck Edition 1. It will be the solitary model in the lineup and is arriving with a starting price of $112,595.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Packed with a powerful three-motor setup that delivers 1,000 horsepower and up to 11,500 lb-ft of torque, as well as the largest possible battery pack that provides 350 miles of range, it’s no surprise the model is gaining much attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Too, its list of equipment does not disappoint. The truck’s fully loaded version is reportedly arriving with a myriad of off-roading features, an air suspension, a massive infotainment screen, and special styling with its white exterior paint job, black roof, and bronze wheels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, with a retail price of more than $100,000, what happens to interested customers who are not willing to burn a gaping hole in their pockets?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GMC announced it will be releasing relatively cheaper models in 2023. There will be additional configurations with starting prices of $79,995, $89,995, and $99,995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the three future models, the first to arrive will be the Hummer EV3x, which will feature the same three-motor drivetrain as the Edition 1. Priced at $99,995, it is scheduled to go on sale in the US in fall 2022 and will be followed by the Hummer EV2x with a $89,000-price tag. The EV2x is set to arrive in spring 2023, but with a less powerful two-motor drivetrain. It will also share similarities with Edition 1 such as the air suspension and four-wheel-steering system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
