Following the launch of the all-new Gladiator, Jeep now shifts its attention on the upcoming Wrangler. Despite getting a design refresh for the 2018 model year, the model is once again getting new updates including a new trim package, powertrains, and – possibly – a price hike.<\/p>\n

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Limited are reportedly getting a slew of updates, many of which are expected to benefit the lower trim models. Beginning with the Sport S trim, the optional LED exterior lighting package will be offered as well as an upgraded Advanced Safety Group that now includes the automatic high-beam headlight control. This would, however, require installation of the 84-inch Uconnect touchscreen with Navigation.<\/p>\n

Jeep is also releasing the Wrangler Black and Tan Edition package based on the Sport S trim. The new editions include a whole new set of luxury features such as a tan premium Sunrider soft top with an optional dual top, 17-inch Machined Granite Crytal Wheels with all-terrain rubber, black Jeep fender badges, side steps. Heritage tan cloth seats, a 7-inch Uconnect touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, and Sirius XM Satellite Radio.<\/p>\n

Consumers will be given a two-door and four-door configurations for the Black and Tan Edition for an additional $1,695 on the Sport S’s base price. For the exterior colors, 12 colors will be available in 2020 with the Heritage Tan replacing the Dark Saddle as an interior furnish.<\/p>\n

Under the hood, the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 is expected to arrive later in the year. Wrangler Saharas with automatic transmissions will get an eTorque mild hybrid setup with the same V6 engine, while a non-eTorque 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is set to replace its eTorque option for the Sport and Rubicon models.<\/p>\n

But aside from the styling, feature, and engine upgrades that the 2020 Jeep Wrangler is set to receive, it is also reportedly getting a base price increase of $250 across the board. The Rubicon and Sport with the non-eTorque engine, though, are expected to be priced less than their previous generations.<\/p>\n
