In September, it was confirmed that the towing technologies coming to the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra for 2021 will also be added to other full-size SUVs in the General Motors umbrella. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This explains why in the past month, many Chevrolet Suburban<\/a> fans are speculating that a heavy-duty Suburban will join the lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the fans may be in a state of premature frenzy, it looks like the head honchos at GM also see potential in a Suburban HD with the company’s Vice President of Global Product Programs, Tim Herrick, hinting at the possibility of launching such a model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have full-size truck stuff in my blood, right,” Herrick said, “so I understand what it takes to make a light-duty truck, a heavy-duty truck, and SUV, make them all together architecturally work, and then expand that architecture, whether it’s putting batteries in, or different engines and the like. Expanding the architecture architecturally would be great. And with that, then you bring, maybe a heavy-duty Suburban.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement fans the flames of the possibility for a tougher Suburban arriving in the next model years, if not in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suburbans are known for their V8 engines, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Chevrolet comes up with a more capable and powerful HD model for the nameplate.
