With the arrival of the 11th generation of the Honda Civic<\/a> slated spring of 2021, speculations about an all-wheel-drive version have crept on the grapevine. After all, the new Civic will be going up against equally competitive rivals such as the Subaru Impreza and Mazda 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda, however, was quick to shut down all hopes for a possible AWD Civic in the 2022 model year, saying there were “no plans” for it. A spokesperson for the company confirmed this with online publication Car and Driver shortly after a Civic prototype was unveiled to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Civic sedan will be the first to go on sale in the United States early next year, while other variants such as the hatchback, Si, and Type R are scheduled to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
