In the last few months, the upcoming Jeep Compass<\/a> has been the talk of the town, especially after a camouflaged version of the compact crossover was spotted on the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While customers in the United States still have no idea how the production version of the SUV will look like, the closest point of comparison for Americans is the 2021 version unveiled in Europe, the one that comes with a turbocharged engine and dual-clutch transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now another version was recently introduced in China, complete with updated tech as well as improved interior and exterior styling. Jeep shared official pictures of the model, fueling rumors that the changes in the China model could make their way to the US-spec Compass for 2022 or 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the images, the redesigned Compass will feature minor changes such as an updated front fascia, bolder grille, and slimmed-down LED headlights. The overall look is also more aggressive, making the model street-appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of the exterior, a new dashboard layout is expected as well as a 10.3-inch infotainment and a 10.1-inch instrument display for the higher trim levels. The latest version of Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system could also make it to the package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeep<\/a> is also believed to be launching a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine that delivers up to 177 horsepower, first in China, then in the US. It will join the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that makes 180 horsepower when the SUV debuts in America.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
