Buyers of the 2021 Ford Bronco<\/a> are in for a slight disappointment as Ford announced there will be a delay in the scheduled release of the two- and four-door variants of the highly awaited SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The automaker blamed supplier issues due to the ongoing coronavirus as the reason for the delay. Initially scheduled to launch in spring 2021, both Bronco models are now expected to arrive at the end of summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford did not name which suppliers are having problems related to COVID-19, but the announcement also effectively pushes back the supposed start of order placements from December 7 to sometime in mid-January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This allows customers with existing reservations more time to configure their two- or four-door Broncos through the dedicated configurator. Ford said customers have until March 19 to make the final arrangements for their SUVs, specifically the build, dealer selection, and pricing. Prior to the delay in the Bronco’s arrival, the deadline for customers was set to January 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sasquatch off-road package equipped with the manual transmission also wouldn’t be arriving until 2022. The package comes with 35-inch tires, an electronic transfer case, front and rear locking axles, a 1.2-inch lift, larger fender flares, and heavy-duty Bilstein shock absorbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, customers who are waiting to get their hands on the smaller Bronco Sport have nothing to worry about. Ford<\/a> confirmed that the arrival of the crossover-based model remains on schedule, with the first batch of units expected to arrive at dealerships any day now.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
