The revived Ford Bronco<\/a> for the 2021 model year is hands down the most anticipated vehicle of the year. The off-roader won’t be arriving anytime soon, though, but the automaker is sustaining the hype—thanks to its Warthog variant recently being caught on video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Warthog is Bronco’s version of the Raptor from the F-150 and Ranger lines. It is mainly characterized by all-terrain tires, wide fenders, huge axles, and adaptive dampers. Simply put, it’s a massive vehicle meant for off-road adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, the upcoming Warthog was spotted testing in the roads of Michigan. Very noticeable are the set of 37-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires and Fox Live Wire adaptive dampers, the breakthrough feature of the F-150 Raptor. It is also equipped with stronger axles and a rear anti-roll bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expected to make the high-performance model more capable than the regular Bronco’s Sasquatch package are the following additional features: 35-inch tires, an electronic transfer case, front and rear locking axles, a 1.2-inch lift, larger fender flares, and heavy-duty Bilstein shock absorbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the Warthog arrives, it will be a little taller than the standard Bronco off-roader and possibly higher than the Sasquatch. It will also feature unique wheels and a wider track, thanks to its larger fenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford previously announced that the Bronco will be offered in two- and four-door variants, but it has not confirmed if the Warthog will also be offered with two-doors (the model spotted was a four-door). What’s confirmed, however, is that the vehicle will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V- 6 that makes 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
