There is no denying the popularity of the GMC Hummer Edition 1 electric pickup truck. In fact, units scheduled to arrive sometime in 2021 had sold out in just 10 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the highly positive response, GMC<\/a> was revealed to be looking into ramping up the production numbers of the famed electric truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a report published by the Detroit Free Press, some dealer sources are saying the network has been informed by the brand that more Edition 1 trucks are likely to become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GMC has not revealed how many units will be built when production kicks off in the fall of 2021. But considering the Edition 1 sold out in a matter of minutes, there is reason to believe the number wasn’t too big. Asked about the possibility of a larger production run for the model, GMC remains mum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of performance, the upcoming Hummer pickup is expected to deliver up to 1,000 horsepower and an estimated range of 350 miles on a single charge.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Hummer EV is set to roll out in phases, with Edition 1 leading the charge. It will be followed by the Hummer EV3X in 2022, while the EV2X trim is projected to enter production in 2023. The base Hummer EV is the last to begin production in 2024, according to the current timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Edition 1 variant has a starting price of $112,595, including the mandatory destination charge, making it the most expensive model in the GM portfolio. Sitting right below it is the EV3X, which will retail for $99,995, then the EV2X at $89,995. The base model will set customers back by $79,995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
