Getting a price increase has been the trend for the past years for models undergoing an upgrade, refresh, or redesign. It’s not entirely a new thing—except when the model in question is fairly new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such is the case for the 2021 Kia Telluride<\/a>, for which Kia announced a price increase of at least $200 for the lower trims and as much as $300 for the range-topping variant. It’s quite a considerable amount for the brand given that it only gave a $100 bump for most cars and SUVs in its lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mandatory destination charge also increased by $55, bringing the total to $1,255 from last year’s $1,200. This means interested buyers for the 2021 model year will have to shell out $255 more for the highly popular Telluride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increase may not look much, but it still catches public attention considering that the relatively new model has already crossed the $40,000 threshold by the end of 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kia<\/a> does not appear to have anything to worry about as it looks like customers are still interested in the midsize SUV.
