Ford<\/a> is still hard at work this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following huge launches for the refreshed F-150 and the revived Bronco in 2020, the automaker is preparing more debuts in the coming months. First in line for this model year is the 2021 Raptor, which the company recently announced will officially debut at 11 a.m. ET on February 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was made through a teaser posted on Twitter. In the image, a redesigned truck and an all-new grille were shown along with the “FORD” badge. There is also the mesh pattern, wider grille-mounted lights, some decals, as well as a contrasting black bumper, suggesting that the soon-to-arrive model could be the 2021 Raptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other than these details, Ford remains mum on the other vehicle specs. But based on earlier spy photos, the model is expected to get a burly front skid plate, recovery hooks, plus off-roading accessories such as more pronounced fender flares and a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T\/A tires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of suspension, Ford is expected to keep the modern coils of the Raptor in place of the rear leaf springs to provide a smoother and more comfortable ride. Also likely to be included is a new structural brace that can be attached to the rear axle, higher mounting points for better clearance, and an exhaust that features a straighter exit compared to the previous model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the interior of the new Raptor has yet to be seen, updates are believed to be in the way following the changes to the standard F-150<\/a>. These include a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch SYNC 4 infotainment system, premium materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford will likely keep the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with slight changes to deliver up to 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. A supercharged 5.2-liter V8 might also be offered as an option later on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
