Buyers on the hunt for a bulky body-on-frame SUV are in for a treat as Ford announced a $3,000-price cut on the new variant of the 2021 Expedition<\/a>, the XL STX, which replaces the XLT as its base model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The catch? The XL STX does not come with the third row of seats that customers have come to love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The setup, however, is perfect for customers who are not looking for a family-hauler and would rather get added real estate for their cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The XL STX retails for $51,690 after the mandatory $1,695 destination charge. For a 4×4 version, an extra $3,050 is added to the price tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Expedition XL STX is powered by Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. | Source: Ford<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Ford<\/a> keeps the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission for the XL STX, sending power to either its rear or all four wheels. The model also comes with 18-inch wheels (available in metallic gray) as well as grille and mirror caps in a gloss black finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the third row of seats, the XL STX also do not have the Co-Pilot 360, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and satellite radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introducing this new base model is Ford’s way of offering more affordable options to its customers; although, the Chevrolet Tahoe, Expedition’s rival, is still slightly cheaper at $50,295.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
