The new CX-30<\/a> is one of the most striking models in Mazda’s lineup for 2021. Thanks to the car’s superb styling, luxurious interior, and excellent dynamics, it is consistently in the list of enthusiasts’ favorite subcompact crossovers. However, even the best ones can suffer from a setback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mazda recently announced it is recalling 14,000 units of the Mazda CX-30 from the 2020 and 2021 model years. While the number does not put a major dent on the model’s overall sales, it still creates problems for its reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mazda said the recall affects CX-30s with power liftgates that can unexpectedly lower, particularly when the vehicle is parked on an upward-facing hill with high ambient temperatures. Another cause of concern is the increased risk of injury when unloading cargo or sitting on the bumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
