It looks like fans of the Ram 1500 Classic need not worry about the possibility of an exit as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Mike Manley suggests the well-loved model could be getting an update soon.<\/p>\n

The Ram 1500 Classic is a lower-priced option for consumers who want to get their hands on a Ram 1500 truck. And it is working well for the brand as the Classic steadily sees a sales increase amid Ram’s increasing market share and the heavy competition in the truck segment.<\/p>\n

The new Ram is rumored to sell for $35,135 for the base model, with upgrades such as an eTorque mild-hybrid technology, greater towing capacity, and a large Uconnect touchscreen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As long as this is the case, there is no reason for FCA to even consider discontinuing the model. In fact, the current generation Ram 1500 Classic that was based on the 2018 model platform could be getting an update. And for its price, it has a huge advantage over other models in the market.<\/p>\n

The current Ram 1500 Classic is furnished with a bench seat and is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its entry-level trim starts at $29,340, while the high- end Big Horn that comes with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine is offered at $46,240.<\/p>\n

But the updated version will sell for $35,135 for the base model. And FCA is offering it with a fresh design, better fuel economy, an eTorque mild-hybrid technology, greater towing capacity, a large Uconnect touchscreen, and a slew of other upgrades.<\/p>\n

Ram recently made headlines when it overtook Chevrolet Silverado as the second-bestselling truck in the United States, just behind Ford’s F-series.
