When an automaker introduces new modifications to its vehicles, a price bump almost always follows. Then it becomes increasingly challenging for automakers to justify the price increase and convince their consumers to remain loyal to the brand.<\/p>\n

For Subaru, as with several other car companies, offering more standard features is the common solution. And that’s what the 2020 Forester is getting.<\/p>\n

The Japanese automaker just introduced the fifth generation of the Subaru Forester for the 2019 model year, which means it might not be due for a major reconstruction for the coming year. But Subaru is looking to make some changes to the lineup, and they are all expected to arrive soon.<\/p>\n

One of the new features planned for the compact SUV is the Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which will be offered as a standard on all variants. It comes with a Lane Centering function and new Lane Departure Prevention.<\/p>\n

Also arriving is the Rear Seat Reminder that alerts the driver to check the back seat before exiting the vehicle. This, too, will be offered as a standard on all trim levels. In addition, a tire pressure monitoring system will be added. According to Subaru, the system works with the help of a feature called the “automatic individual wheel I.D. registration.”<\/p>\n

With all these new add-ons, the 2020 Subaru Forester will be a bit pricier by at least $200. The base model now has a starting price of $24,495. The Forester Premium will go up to $27,395 with the inclusion of the All-Weather Package that comes with heated front seats, heated mirrors, and windshield deicer.<\/p>\n

The Forester Sport will be offered at $31,095, while the Limited trim and top-tier Limited is now at $34,595. The flagship trim will also have LEDs in the cargo area, dome lights, and the tailgate light.
