The latest generation of the Toyota Prius is getting a price hike of as much as $430 for most trims ($175 for the highest trim) in exchange for new features.<\/p>\n

Following changes for the 2019 model year that saw the addition of an optional all-wheel drive, updated styling, and a restructured trim-level lineup, the Toyota Prius is getting another set of upgrades for 2020.<\/p>\n

Among the car’s new features are bigger standard touchscreen infotainment system that goes up from 6.1 inches to 7.0 inches and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Unfortunately for Android users, the hybrid hatchback is not yet equipped with Android Auto technology, while the bigger screen display won’t be available for the Prius Limited trim. Instead, the top-level Limited trim is getting an 11.6-inch vertically oriented touchscreen that also has Apple CarPlay compatibility.<\/p>\n

Also standard in the 2020 Toyota Prius is the company’s Safety Connect system, a suite of advanced technology features that includes emergency assistance, roadside assistance, stolen vehicle locator, and automatic collision notification.<\/p>\n

As per the price hike, the entry-level trim L Eco now starts at $25,155, followed by the LE trim at $26,365, and the XLE at $29,205. The Limited trim, meanwhile, only went up by $175 at $33,330. The all-wheel-drive setup will still be offered as an option for the LE and XLE trims for an additional charge of $1,400 and $1,000, respectively. It will be enabled by a small electric motor mounted at the rear of the vehicle.<\/p>\n
