Over the years, the Jeep<\/a> Wrangler has consistently proven why it is one of the most highly touted vehicles in the United States. The body-on-frame SUV has had answers to every trend that sprung without compromising its performance as a utility vehicle. And for the upcoming generation of the model, Jeep is looking to boost driving experience by adding more modern technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jeep Wrangler’s JL generation is fairly new, having only started production in late 2017 as a 2018 model. But the automaker surmises it’s the right time to introduce new powertrains and trim levels as a treat to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the new additions to the Jeep Wrangler JL is the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine, which makes 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque while mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. An automatic stop-start function also comes as a standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the new engine, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler is also getting new technology, including Fiat Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment system.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The diesel engine<\/a> will be offered on the JL’s Rubicon, Sahara, and Sport trims, which pretty much covers the Wrangler’s entire 2020 lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But aside from the EcoDiesel V6, Jeep will continue to offer the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that makes 285-horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque as well as the optional 2.0-liter I4 for 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The Pentastar V6 can be paired with either an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual, but the I4 is only available with the eight-speed automatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like other generations of the Wrangler, the new powertrain hooks up to a drivetrain for more rugged driving capability. All trim levels will also sport Dana solid axles both at the front and rear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the new engine, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler is also getting new technology, including Fiat Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment system. Lower trim levels will have a 5-inch touchscreen sandwiched by physical buttons and knobs, while higher trim levels will get a 7-inch display without buttons on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler equipped with EcoDiesel V6 is expected to arrive towards the end of the 2020 model year, but all other variants are now available at dealership lots across America.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
