After it was given a plug-in-hybrid model as part of its second-generation update for 2019, the Subaru Crosstrek<\/a> is receiving additional safety features as well as updated technology for the next model year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, the Crosstrek gas variant with continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) will be equipped with an automatic stop-start system and Subaru’s SI-DRIVE driver-selectable powertrain management system. The SI-DRIVE technology features Intelligent and Sport modes that can be controlled via switches on the steering wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the rugged subcompact crossover will also enjoy a slew of exterior and interior tweaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exterior-wise, the model’s Limited and Hybrid trim levels will get an updated LED headlight design, with the Hybrid featuring a silver trim along its projector beams. The Limited trim, meanwhile, will have LED fog lights as a standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the interior<\/a>, Subaru is also introducing upgrades to the Crosstrek, particularly changing the location of the media port and adding more minor functionality. The Premium trim will be outfitted with an optional six-way power driver’s seat and push-to-start function, while both Premium and Limited variants are getting a standard illuminated front console storage tray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Crosstrek models will have the USB and auxiliary ports moved from the center console to the front console storage tray. The Limited and Hybrid trims will also have extra USB ports in the rear console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, new safety features will be added to the model such as an automatic power door locking and unlocking system, which operates when the vehicle is put into drive and the speed is more than 12 mph. A collision detection system that automatically unlocks all doors in the event of an accident will also be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2020 Subaru Crosstrek will be offered at a starting price of $23,155, $250 more expensive than the previous generation. Higher-level trims such as the Hybrid, on the other hand, goes up by $150 at $36,155.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
