It’s no secret that the rise of electric vehicles in the last few years has prompted automakers to delve into the new realm and start releasing their respective models. Among the brands that aggressively pursues the technology is Japanese automaker Honda–and leading the charge for the company’s next generation of EVs is the all-new Jazz that features an advanced two-motor hybrid powertrain technology as standard.<\/p>\n

The new Honda Jazz EV marks the first time the popular hatchback comes with the class-leading comfort and space that the nameplate is known for, with the inclusion of advanced technology, safety features, and driving dynamics commonly found in electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

It will serve as Honda’s poster child in showcasing the efficiency benefits and performance of hybrid power to the general public. This move is part of the company’s ultimate goal to equip its mainstream European models with electrified powertrains by 2022.<\/p>\n

For the coming model year, Nissan is cutting down the width of the hatchback’s A-pillar in half, while also improving visibility and making it lighter inside. Technology-wise, the car is getting a touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, as well as a WiFi hotspot.<\/p>\n

There will also be a suite of safety features installed in the new Jazz such as adaptive cruise control and the brand’s Collision Mitigation Brake System that now works on unlit roads at night. The Mitigation Brake System functions by applying automatically applying brakes when another vehicle is in the path of the car.<\/p>\n
