Honda’s most powerful production car, the Civic Type R, is getting interior updates and it’s looking good so far.<\/p>\n

Considering the automaker’s success in the racing car segment, consumers and industry experts are highly anticipating the launch of the Honda Civic Type R. Demand is reportedly so high that it is already being marked up by some dealers by as much as $10,000.<\/p>\n

The new model was designed to appeal to a younger market, particularly toward enthusiasts and racing aficionados. Apparently, the car is a hot pick for those who prioritize driving dynamics and drivers who want to stand out in the crowd.<\/p>\n

To properly market the model ahead of its official launch, Honda even banked on social media to share and promote the Civic Type R.<\/p>\n

Included in the interior updates is a more user-friendly infotainment setup as well as reworked controls. The car is still fitted with a touchscreen like all other 2019 Civic models. But the Type R also has a physical volume knob and hard buttons deemed by the brand to improve its operation. This is contrast to all Type R models released in the past which all came with a button-free interface with touch-sensitive buttons and sliders.<\/p>\n

Aside from the infotainment upgrades, Honda also gave the 2019 Type R bigger cupholders, simplified steering-wheel controls, and additional buttons for fan speed and climate controls.<\/p>\n

The hot hatchback comes in a new hue – an attractive bluish gray dubbed by Honda as the Sonic Gray Pearl. This color was initially offered on the standard hatchback when it was launched in 2018 as part of the model’s 10th-generation lineup.<\/p>\n

It was for the 2016 model year that Civic first had a complete redesign, but it wasn’t until 2017 that Type R joined the lineup, alongside the Civic Si and hatchback models. Since then, Type R has not had any major upgrades.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
