To say that Ford’s Mustang Mach-E is highly anticipated is a complete understatement as the company just announced that the First Edition of the electric SUV is already sold out nine days after it was officially unveiled at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show.<\/p>\n

The zero-emissions model will be continuing the legacy of America’s iconic pony car, which is being sold through a dedicated reservation site that went up immediately after the model was launched in LA on November 18. The website allowed early adopters to get their hands on the new Mustang which is the first of its kind in the world. And while interested buyers can still make reservations for the SUV, it will no longer be for the First Edition (the first batch rolling out in the market).<\/p>\n

Ford has not released information on how many First Edition units were going to be built. The company, however, confirmed through a press release that the $61,000-SUV will come in “limited quantity.” In a separate announcement, Ford said it is putting a cap of 50,000 units for the Mach-E’s first year of production, possibly inclusive of the First Edition models.<\/p>\n

As if the electric Mustang SUVs are not special enough, the first batch of models that will roll out of the assembly line will have special features compared to other regular variants. It will be built as an extended-range AWD that features red brake calipers and a unique First Edition badge. For the interior, it will have metallic pedal covers and contrasting seat stitching. It will also come with a scuff plate labeled “First Edition.”<\/p>\n

The first batch of Mustang Mach-Es is expected to arrive in late 2020, alongside the Premium trim sold at $51,700. The base-level Select priced $44,995 and the Mach-E California Route 1, which will be sold for $53,500, are both due early 2021, to be followed by the sporty Mach-E GT at $61,600 in spring.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
