Chevrolet’s decision to revive the Blazer nameplate as a mid-size crossover instead of the trusted SUV it has been for decades made a lot of people doubt the model’s future in the market. But when images of the crossover came out, anticipation for the model started rising.<\/p>\n

The new Chevy Blazer comes with a sporty look: Camaro-inspired styling for the exterior and premium interior features. It rides on the same platform as the Cadillac XT5 and GMC Acadia, but it has a completely different identity than the two models. It can also be set up with either a front-wheel- or all-wheel-drive. Moreover, it is comfortably positioned between the Equinox and Traverse and customer response has so far been positive, with Blazer customers spending a lot of money for the model.<\/p>\n

But among all Blazer trim levels, there is one that most customers seem to be interested in.<\/p>\n

“We know that from Blazer, the RS model has been very well received and the take rate is pretty high, and also the Premier as well, but the RS seems to be the one that is catching people’s attention right now,” Shad Balch of Chevrolet Communications shared.<\/p>\n

The current crowd favorite Blazer RS has a starting price of $41,795 while the Premier trim is offered at $43,895. Both trims are priced significantly higher than the Blazer’s base L trim, which carries a price tag of $29,995.<\/p>\n

The RS and Premier variants are also the only Blazer trims available with the 3.6-liter V6 engine, which makes 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine powers the L trim, generating only 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The mid-range 2LT and 3LT trims, meanwhile, are equipped with a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four with 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. All Blazers are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n

That the RS and Premier trims have high take rates shows consumers are willing to spend more money for a more powerful engine, as well as stylish looks and more features that are only often found in high-end brands. This is also seen as one of the reasons why the 2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer RS comes with similar sporty styling as the Blazer.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
