When the Chevrolet Trailblazer was discontinued in the United States in 2009, the model went on to prosper globally, which is why it comes as no surprise Chevrolet decided to bring the model back.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, for the 2020 model year, the Trailblazer will no longer be in the form of a body-on-frame SUV but as a crossover set to be positioned between the Trax and the Equinox. It has a smaller body and an overall styling that leans toward the sporty side.<\/span><\/p>\n

The returning model is also reportedly going to be offered with two trim levels–the RS and ACTIV trims–but recent reports claim that there are three other variants that will be available.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from the two previously revealed trim levels, the new Trailblazer will also be offered in the base L model, which will only be available with a front-wheel-drive configuration, according to reports. This fits earlier claims from General Motors that the Trailblazer will have a starting price of less than $20,000. The L trim is expected to be powered by a turbocharged 1.2-liter engine or an optional 1.3-liter turbo engine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the L model is the LS trim, which will be offered with an all-wheel-drive option, while next to it will be the LT variant just below the ACTIV trim.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interestingly, a Premier trim is not mentioned among the variants being planned for the new Trailblazer. Instead, the RS trim level is reportedly going to be the range-topper. Although the RS variant will likely arrive later than the others, there are more details released about it such as it will come with a mesh grille, black roof, and front splitter. <\/span><\/p>\n

The ACTIV trim, meanwhile, is expected to be the more rugged and outdoor-specific model, which will be equipped with a unique suspension setup and off-road tires on 17-inch alloy wheels.<\/span><\/p>\n
