After Ram introduced the 1500 North Edition a while back to aid consumers in tackling the rough winter months, its sibling brand is following suit as Jeep recently announced it will be doing the same across its entire lineup.<\/p>\n

Jeep’s North Edition models will add more comfortable features capable of dealing with the rough weather to the already capable vehicles. This includes the standard equipment Cold Weather Group suite, which has heated seats and steering wheel, remote start, Bridgestone All-Terrain tires, as well as Premium audio Group, an 8.4-inch Uconnect with five years of Sirius XM Travel Link Weather and Traffic Service, and all-weather floor mats.<\/p>\n

The automaker is also throwing in the Trail Rated kit, composed of a tow strap, carabiner, D-rings, gloves, and a safety kit, in case things get out of hand for drivers.<\/p>\n

Each North Edition that will be released is based on a particular trim, with prices varying depending on the model. A $1,495 destination fee would also have to be included on top of the base price.<\/p>\n

The North Edition Renegade Sport will start at $28,165, the Compass Sport at $29,925, the Cherokee Latitude at $31,250, the Grand Cherokee Laredo at $40,285, the Wrangler Sahara at $45,960, and the Gladiator Overland at $47,215.<\/p>\n

Some models will also get more features than others. According to a complete breakdown released by Mopar Insiders, the Wrangler Unlimited North Edition, which is based on the Sahara trim, will feature a black three-piece hardtop, Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel-drive with a 2.72:1 rear-axle ratio, the Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle, active noise cancellation, and a special North Edition badge.<\/p>\n

With these select add-ons, other optional features will also be available such as the 3,6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque, eight-speed automatic transmission, and premium paint.<\/p>\n

Jeep will reportedly have three sample vehicles—the Jeep Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler North Editions—on display at the New England International Auto Show in Boston.
