The sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro<\/a> and the C7 Corvette are facing trouble in the European market. Both models are set to be pulled out from the region as they do not meet more stringent World Light Vehicle Test Procedure regulations that will be implemented beginning August 31, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new EU regulations on emissions will now include changes to the approval tests and procedures, requiring existing vehicles to undergo re-certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it turns out, it looks like General Motors is not willing to spend on the required re-certification for the Camaro due to the relatively small sales figures of the vehicle in the EU. The C7 Corvette, meanwhile, is already on its way out and is set to be replaced by the mid-engine Corvette C8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the last batch of sixth-generation Camaros and C7 Corvettes scheduled for delivery to the United Kingdom are now being sold through Ian Allen Motors, a dealer for General Motors located about an hour outside of London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Allan, chairman of Ian Allan Motors, says the dealership is “thrilled” to offer consumers an opportunity to own a piece of history in the two Chevrolet<\/a> models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Both models offer incredible value compared to many mid-market and commonplace sports cars, yet carry Chevrolet’s legendary 6.2-liter V8 block, which is arguable one of the world’s most successful performance engines,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The C7 Corvette Final Edition was introduced by its parent company earlier this year. It marks the last hurrah for the C7 Corvette in Europe. It is offered in the Grand Sport and Z06 trims, and comes with Final Edition decals and Sebring Orange Tintcoat Metallic or Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic paint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
