The Nissan Titan had mediocre sales in 2019 as shown by the 38% decline in numbers, which is why it’s understandable the automaker has decided to simplify the lineup for the model’s 2020 update. But what seems to be out of place is a hike in prices from $860 to $5,250.<\/p>\n

For the 2020 model year, the Titan and Titan XD models will keep their S, SV, SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve variants, but there will be fewer cab configurations and engine options compared to the previous year. Nissan will no longer be offering a single-cab model as well as the optional Cummins turbodiesel 5.0-liter V-8 for the Titan XD.<\/p>\n

This makes the S extended-cab model Titan the cheapest option in the lineup with a starting price of $37,785, a $5,500 increase from the 2019 model with the same configuration.<\/p>\n

XD prices, meanwhile, went up from $1,890 to $4,690. The variant will only be offered in a crew-cab form with a four-wheel-drive setup. Until last year, a rear-wheel-drive setup was available as well as a single-cab and extended-cab configurations of the model.<\/p>\n

Moreover, all Titan models are now equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V-8 gasoline engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The V-8 makes 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if Nissan Titan sales will further dwindle due to the price hike or if it will improve in the coming months. The 2020 models are scheduled to arrive at dealerships at any moment now.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
