The current generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe was only introduced for the 2019 model year, but the company is not holding back from riding the SUV’s popularity by giving it a refresh.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time since the Korean automaker announced a new generation of the Santa Fe, a prototype was spotted while undergoing testing.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hyundai Santa Fe shares the same platform with the Kia Sorento, which is due for release at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show in March.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But unlike its corporate cousin which seems to be revealing everything before its official debut, the new Santa Fe was seen completely wrapped up in camouflage.

According to insiders, however, a supposed facelift will introduce significant changes to keep the Santa Fe competitive, considering it makes up about half of Hyundai’s SUV sales.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming model will reportedly feature new headlights with T-shaped LED daytime running lights on each side. It is also expected to sport a new grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and updated taillights.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior was not photographed, but the recently leaked Santa Fe photos suggest a more premium and high-tech interior like that of Hyundai’s flagship SUV, Palisade.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Hyundai is believed to be offering new hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains for the next-gen Santa Fe. But interested buyers best not count on it yet since the model is still in the very early stages of its production.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
