\nKia just shared official photos of the 2021 Sorento less than a month ahead of its release at the Geneva Auto Show. This after an undisguised prototype of the vehicle was spotted in California during a photoshoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tan-and-black combo of the upcoming vehicle is already appealing as it is, further complemented by a two-tone steering wheel and quilted stitching on the seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But that’s not enough for the Korean automaker as it also adds vertical air vents to the model, similar to the taillights that resemble those of the Mustang. The difference, however, is that the Sorento has them a little fatter and in a rhombus shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the air vents arches outward over the dash with more concentric rhombuses directing the airflow inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also part of the upgrades are rectangular door handles as well as thick, long door pulls and heated\/cooled seat toggle switches on the center console like the ones installed in the hot-selling Telluride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what sets the Sorento apart from the Volvos and BMWs on sale in the market is it is a completely independent design, not a scaled-down version of a larger, more expensive model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2021 Sorento also features two wide screens—a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 10.3-inch infotainment screen—blended together to create one unit, a look that has previously debuted in the 2014 S-class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kia has not shared other details about the screens so far, but they are also expected to be installed in the Telluride, which currently uses an analog instrument panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Completing the set of new interior features are the hot pink icons and blue ambient lighting peeking out of the door trim. All these upgrades, however, are likely heading to the Sorento’s range-topping trim, but base and mid-levels are also expected to be as good.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
