Another day, another 2021 Ford Bronco report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the official launch date of the highly anticipated Ford Bronco draws closer, more details about the SUV are getting divulged day in and day out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of these is a new report claiming Ford is hoping to sell 200,000 Bronco-badged vehicles in the coming year, including the standard model and the Escape-based Bronco Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from unit sales, the company is also reportedly going full-speed with a wide range of dealer-installed accessories that can be bundled into the final purchase price and financed with the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, Ford is looking to have more than 150 Bronco accessories in its catalog by the time the SUV arrives at dealerships in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exactly which type of accessories is yet to be known, but the list is likely to range from graphics packages to light bars, winches, wheels, and various roof options, at least for the full-size Bronco. The Bronco Sport is also expected to get a number of accessories, although they are likely to remain a hardtop-only offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This suggests that the Blue Oval is intently planning to go head-to-head with Jeep for a share of the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeep’s Wrangler, with its open roof, removable doors, and go-anywhere appeal, has dominated the market for years as the poster child for manufacturer-backed accessories. But all these are now going to be rivaled by the revived Bronco given its numerous patent applications supported by spy photos circulating everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of it all, Ford also reportedly made changes in its distributor network for accessories in anticipation of strong sales for the Bronco following its official reveal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
