It looks like it would take some time before the public actually sees the final production version of the new Ford Bronco. This is after the automaker instructed all employees to work from home except for those who have business-critical roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford confirmed upcoming previous events arranged for the highly-awaited SUV have been canceled due to the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Blue Oval was initially supposed to host media for a preview event, but instead issued a statement saying, “We’ve made the decision to cancel our event due to ongoing coronavirus concerns.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside postponing the new Bronco’s launch, Ford also notified employees that all non-business-critical roles will move to remote work. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The automaker also said to stay tuned for new information about the Bronco’s debut in the meantime. It is unclear whether the company will decide to move to a digital platform or reschedule things altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside postponing the new Bronco’s launch, Ford also notified employees that all non-business-critical roles will move to remote work. This affects the company’s global workforce and all positions will transition to a remote scenario until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Thankfully, the effect of the coronavirus on Ford employees so far has been very limited,” Ford said in a statement. “In recent days, though, we concluded the issue has taken on a different dimension and are continuing to act in real-time to keep our people safe and help limit the spread of the virus in communities where we live and work.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, leaked images of Ford Bronco’s competitor, Jeep Wrangler, started circulating online, driving more excitement for the hard-core SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the launch of the 2021 Ford Bronco, the threat of coronavirus also affected various events in the automotive industry. This includes the cancellation of the Geneva Motor Show and the postponement of the New York Auto Show.
