Five years on the market and the Chevrolet Colorado<\/a> is finally getting its much-deserved facelift for the 2021 model year along with its corporate cousin, the GMC Canyon. But with the introduction of a few design and styling changes, there will also be a price increase on the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an article published by Cars Direct, Chevrolet has confirmed that the 2021 Colorado will be getting a price bump as well as a few changes in the lineup. The automaker, however, said it’s not necessarily a bad thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the coming model year, the Chevy Colorado will be saying goodbye to its current base trim due to slow sales. This puts the new entry-level trim at a base price of $26,395, a $4,000 increase from the outgoing $22,395 base model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simply put, the Base Extended Cab will no longer be offered, making the Extended Work Truck the most affordable trim in the Colorado lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But examined closely, the new pricing only gives the Work Truck a $500 increase and that already includes the $100 destination fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for other trim levels, the Colorado LT Crew Cab gets a $100 increase, while the rest will also get around a $500 boost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on this new price list, only the starting MSRP will increase by $4,000, but only because customers will now be offered a better trim. The price is also inclusive of features and accessories that were otherwise not included in the outgoing base trim.
