The Nissan Rogue<\/a> has been the company’s best-selling model, but it has yet to be given a redesign since it was introduced to the European market as the X-Trail in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this year, however, the automaker is reportedly unveiling several new SUVs, including an all-new Qashqai or what the American market calls the Rogue Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the Rogue Sport, a new X-Trail (Rogue) is also rumored to be in the works. Spy shots of the alleged new Rogue suggest that the popular compact crossover will be getting a much-needed refresh when it arrives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on photographs of two prototypes spotted driving around Las Vegas, Nevada, the compact Rogue’s side profile looks similar to the current model but its front fascia shares more of a resemblance to the Nissan Juke that was revealed in Europe in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Rogue is also likely going to feature similar front-end styling, including a dual headlight design flanking the brand’s signature V-Motion grille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spy shots do not reveal anything about the Rogue’s interior, so it’s hard to say what features will make it to the final production version. But based on the photographs of Rogue test mules from previous occasions, the interior appears to be built with a larger infotainment display, new electronic shifter design, as well as digital displays that will replace the analog gauges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s still uncertain what kind of powertrain it will get, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it also sports the 182-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that powers the Altima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power is also expected to be routed to front- or rear-wheel-drive through a continuously variable transmission like the current Rogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Nissan Rogue is expected to be revealed sometime later this year as a 2021 model.
