It&rsquo;s usually visible as soon as you open the hood, but you may need to remove some electrical connections and the air filter box itself to access the sensor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The actual location of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carparts.com\/mass-air-flow-sensor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"MAF sensor\">MAF sensor<\/a> may vary per vehicle. For example, in a 1997-2003 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carparts.com\/ford\/f-150\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ford F-150\">Ford F-150<\/a>, the MAF sensor is located inside the air filter housing. In a 2007-2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carparts.com\/chevrolet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Chevrolet\">Chevrolet<\/a> Silverado, the MAF sensor is located on the intake hose.
