Cadillac<\/a> has redesigned the Escalade ESV for the 2021 model year, giving it up to 18 percent more cargo space compared to its 2020 predecessor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The additional cargo room is mostly felt behind the front row, with the EV’s total cargo volume now at 126.6 cubic feet. This number puts the model more spacious by as much as 17.5 cubic feet than the standard Escalade when all the seats are folded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both models are not too far apart when it comes to interior space in terms of head, leg, shoulder, and hip room. But the difference is that the third row of the extended model allows 1.7 more inches of legroom for passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cadillac is also offering two engine options to buyers: the standard 6.2-liter V-8 engine and an optional Duramax turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which will be offered at the same price as the V-8 option. The two engines are paired with the same 10-speed automatic transmission found in the outgoing Escalade ESV<\/a> and will also be available with rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of the additional interior space and engine options, the luxury SUV is also getting more technology as standard equipment. This includes new OLED screens with more than 38 diagonal inches and three curved displays that form the infotainment system and gauge cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will also feature the brand’s Super Cruise driver-assist technology, which offers lane change on-demand, adaptive air suspension, electronic limited-slip differential, and GM’s Magnetic Ride Control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV is now available for order and expected to arrive at dealerships sometime this fall. A Luxury variant in rear-wheel-drive format starts at $80,490, while an all-wheel-drive Sport edition is available for $92,890. For customers who prefer switching from RWD to AWD, there is a $3,000 charge.
