Product Questions & Answers

Q:will this (Dorman® 1990 Cadillac Allante - Relay, Accessory Power Relay, Stamped 12040835, 12034544, 5 Blade Terminal) plug into this product? It looks like it will. Also, there isn't much detail as far as the back of this part. Does it come with the wiring shown? Or is it snap in or screw down or what for those wires? Context: I have a 1990 Allante. Sudden ABS issue that I think it this relay...but the relay that's there (probably original) has the wires going right INTO it instead of there being a place to plug the relay in. I can't find ANY relays that look like the one currently in the car...even the exact brand and serial number (Bosch 0332002175) has blades. Makes no sense. Show Less

A:BEST ANSWERHi Kevin, I am pleased to assist you. The search results do not specify if this part (85170) is a direct fit replacement for the original accessory power relay in your 1990 Cadillac Allante. They also don't clarify how the wires attach to the back of the Dorman connector (snap-in, screw-down, etc.) or if the wiring is included. Given the age of your car and the modifications you've observed (wires going directly into the relay instead of a plug), it's possible that the wiring has been altered at some point. You may need to consult a wiring diagram specific to your car and potentially adapt the wiring to work with a modern replacement relay and connector. If you're interested in this part, click the link below to order directly and take advantage of our current discounts while supplies last.
