I ordered the part after I got the error code from the computer at Autozone. I had the part in 3 days. I put it on the car. Drove the car about half a mile as the youtube video suggested and my engine light went off.

Question: 2004 GMC Yukon 4.8L not sure where this part goes or hooks to. But the light comes on tighten fuel cap.so does it need this part ?joey T. / Feb 16, 2022
Hi Joe, I'm pleased to assist you. Based on your description, you may not actually need this part. The check engine light should go off after you drive for several minutes if the light was caused by a loose gas cap. If you find that the light keeps coming on, and goes off again once you tighten the gas cap, then your gas cap is too loose and needs replacement.
